OK kids, when you’re as busy as me, well maybe not soo busy but, you’re not well skilled in the cooking field, and find cooking boring you may agree that the microwave is one of the greatest inventions.
(Fun Fact, the Microwave was invented in the late 1970’s.
We got our first one in the late 80’s.)
Today I am going to make a little cooking show blog about some of my favorite dishes made via the Microwave.
The Classic Quesadilla:
I learned how to make this dish at an early age; I loved them then and love them now.
It’s soo simple.
A little bit of cheese, a tortilla and 45 seconds in a microwave and bam!
You got a masters piece.
You can also throw some Pico de Gallo on there, or some chips on there and its like a double decker quesadilla.
(If Taco Bell sees that I know they are going to steal my idea.)
The Hot Pocket:
OK, don’t want to steal Jim’s material so click
Here to watch.
Easy Mac:
You see, the guys at Mac N’ Cheese, knew there was a target market out there for people like me.
You see when Mac N’ Cheese was invented it was thought of as a very simple dish.
But as time has evolved, that same dish is now perceived as very complicated.
I mean I don’t have butter, how much milk? or Boiling water; this is all very complex.
Therefore they said, “ok we gotta cut all that out.”
And they did, and today we have Easy Mac!
Microwave Popcorn:
I have gone to a few parties and have actually seen people cook popcorn out of a popcorn shooting dispenser.
It’s crazy; I don’t even understand how it works.
They turn this machine on and all the sudden popcorn is shooting out everywhere.
If it wasn’t for microwave popcorn, I wouldn’t have the slightest clue how to make it.
They sell small bags now which are nice cuz you can never finish the big bag.
Microwave Burrito:
I am pretty much pro at making these.
Now if a rookie wants to nuke a burrito the same thing happens over and over, it’s tragic it’s like watching that guy snowboard for the first time; half way down the mountain he goes yard sale, he's got gloves, goggles, and his hat all over the mountain side.
You see for rookies it’s always too hot at the ends and the center is too cold.
OK here is how you do it so it’s nice and warm throughout the burrito.
Put it in for 30 seconds; this will melt it a bit, especially if it is frozen.
Take out the burrito and flip it over and cut open the middle then put it in 45 seconds.
Take out and enjoy a tasty warm burrito.
Cup of Noodle:
It so easy!
What is nice about this is if you use a plastic fork, no dishes!
Yeah tell me about, preaching to the choir.
A key though is never fill the water all the way up to the top or you’re gonna have a mess in the microwave.
I also never cook them as long as they say you should just doesn’t taste right; I think it’s all too soggy.
3 Hey Oh's:
Yikes.
Mitchell Mark you make me laugh on occasion. Can I quote you?
